The riverside Park in Suining is actually a subsidiary to the Yellow River.
The needs of the park were dictated by an increasing population that wanted to keep their connection to the river. This park acted as a transition between the built environment and a coastal reserve being developed. In doing so the concept of the park itself became that of “transition”, from the regularities of the linearly built environment to that of the natural flowing river.
We also combined it with hints of Indonesia as requested by the developers to help link the park with the community being developed alongside it, but whilst also allowing the park to freely connect and be accessed by the other local people.
The park is currently under construction but some parts have already been completed to aid the sales of local developments.
